A pretty terrible session really. Started off with my 4.5m and a small fin, but although it was enough to get going in the gusts, the wind was pretty blustery and always seemed to stop and I'd sink just in front of a big wave.... A couple of stop start runs and a walk of shame later I rigged my 5m and put on a bigger fin and tried again. It was just the same though, far to gusty and on the small wave board just not enough gusts to keep me going through the lulls..... I got munched whilst sinking by a big one and ended up swimming after my kit. The rip was really strong as well which made things even more difficult so I had another walk of shame and gave up.

Neil and Colin went around to the estuary to go kite-surfing. After packing up I went around to see how they were getting on, but they weren't having a great time due to the gusty conditions.

Oh well, it got rid of the hangover if nothing else!!
